Plants in the 4th Ward Park a few blocks from the urban center of Uptown Charlotte
On a walk through the 4th Ward I noticed this gentleman pruning the flowers in his front yard. The lighting made for a nice photo. Actually this house is across the street from Alexander Michael’s tavern where I enjoyed a hamburg and wine.
This photo was taken near Alexander Michael’s tavern at 401 W 9th Street.
This photo shows that the 4th Ward Park has a quiet place to read complete with a water fountain and shade (smile).
This shows how enjoyable a 4th ward bicycle ride can be. The trees, lovely side streets, and the strolling neighbors are very pleasant.

Connie and I were walking home from an evening stroll and notice a person taking photos … naturally I went to see what he was taking photos of and found this continuum fresco by Ben Long
… it is at 401 North Tryon Street
and open for the public to enjoy.
Note that the fresco is in a dome and an interesting point I found is that if you set your smartphone on a timer you can place it in the center of the pattern on the sidewalk and take fairly cool selfie with Ben (smile).

I think of this house as 4th ward blue … we walk past it on our strolls through the 4th Ward and it certainly is blue (smile). It is nice to see that Uptown Charlotte has room for houses as well as office towers.
