The good morning special at Dean and Deluca in Uptown Charlotte was French Toast and bacon. And the gentleman behind the sign skillfully and graciously prepares our breakfast every Saturday. We always order bagel sandwiches but the special was very appealing. But what caught my eye was the #goodmorning hashtag (smile).

Beignets from Fig Tree are among our favorite pleasures … The restaurant is in the historic Elisabeth area near Uptown Charlotte … our recommendation is to enjoy wine, appetizers, and desert at the bar … These beignets are so good that if you google “beignets from Fig Tree” there are 11,000 results.
This photo was taken 1601 East 7th Street. Following is a link to the Fig Tree restaurant.
Theme day is upside down this month .. literally and figuratively. Our literal contribution is this photo of chairs turned upside down so the floor can be moped. Check out yesterday’s post to see my figurative interpretation. Actually, I found this theme difficult because there are not many things upside down in my life (smile).

This photo was taken at one of the restaurants on East Boulevard in historic Dilworth near uptown Charlotte.
Recently I took this photo of a couple enjoying the view of Uptown Charlotte. I thought they made a good follow-up to the bridal photo shoot shared yesterday. Better yet I’ll will an eye out for a family with children or a mature couple holding hands as they stroll. There are all sorts of follow-up photos for a bridal photo shoot (smile).
This photo was taken at the Fahrenheit rooftop lounge at 222 South Caldwell Street in Uptown Charlotte.
This weekend we enjoyed wine and appetizers at the Halcyon Restaurant. We also enjoyed watching this bridal photo shoot. Notice that there are four photographers and one is even waving at us (smile).
This photo was taken at the 500 South Tryon Street. Also, following is a link to the Halcyon Restaurant website.
On a recent evening out I took this photo of a fire pit at Fahrenheit rooftop lounge. Interestingly the fire pit is enjoyable even in May however I suspect they will have to turn them off by June or July.
This photo was taken at 222 S Caldwell Street. Following is a link to the website for Chef Rocco Whale at the Fahrenheit. His website says he also has made the 2011 list of best food trucks in the nation. The website also says the Fahrenheit food truck is available for your party. Connie asked if they will park on the roof (smile).
The food is good and there is Jimmy Johns delivery … this scene also presented a photographic challenge given the cyclist was in shadow … Photoshop helped.
